Carly Rae Jepsen and Momoiro Clover Z’s Special Collaboration at MTV VMAJ

Carly Rae Jepsen and Momoiro Clover Z presented a special collaboration at MTV VMAJ 2013 at Makuhari Messe on June 22th, performing “Call Me Maybe” together on the stage.

Carly came up on the stage in a cool dress with a guitar printed on, and then with dancers, she performed “Tonight I’m Getting Over You” a standard tune at her concerts. Her positive and cheerful performance brought the audience’s energy to the climax and she sang her hit tune “Call Me Maybe”.

The moment the intro started, the audience screamed with excitement, and when the song was about to go to the second verse , Carly said “MomoClo, Come on!”

Momoiro Clover Z jumped to the stage with wings on their backs. MomoClo and Carly made this dream collaboration come true on this stage. Their chemistry, while they danced hand in hand, received the biggest applause of the day.

Carly said with joy “Thank you for the great dance! It was so amazing to be performing together on this stage! Thank you for the present of Happi (Summer Festival Kimono).” Hope to see you again!”

MomoClo also thanked and wished the best for both of their careers, saying “ Though we had just met, when we finished the stage we felt so close. It was fun to be performing together on the stage. We were happy to see the audience feel that , too . We would love to perform with Carly again.”
