SCANDAL Kicks Off Their Asia Tour from Jakarta with 2,000 Enthusiastic Fans

On March 13 (Wed), SCANDAL held the first performance of their Asia Tour, “SCANDAL LIVE IN JAKARTA 2013,” at the Tennis Indoor Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The band will be holding a total of four performances during the Asia Tour, visiting the three countries of Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. For their first performance held on March 13 (Wed) at the Tennis Indoor Senayan, 2,000 fans gathered in anticipation of SCANDAL’s one-band live show in Indonesia. It got to the point where some fans couldn’t wait and they could be seen lining up from the day before the performance.

When the band performed the anime theme songs “Shunkan Sentimental” and “HARUKAZE,” which are also popular in Indonesia, the crowd became ecstatic and sang along, even though the songs were in Japanese. Also, during the MC part of the show when each of the four members introduced herself in Indonesian, the local fans cheered, and when vocalist HARUNA shouted “MANTAB! (English: Let’s get excited!),” the audience’s enthusiasm reached a fever pitch, and the nearly one and a half hour one-band live show came to an end amid all the excitement.

There’s still much more to come as the Asia Tour continues. The anticipation of SCANDAL’s fans in each country awaiting the band’s arrival must be getting even higher now.
