Isamu Shimoji is a singer-song writer from Miyakojima, the largest of the islands within Okinawa Prefecture. A unique aspect found in his music is that he sings in Miyakufutsu, one of the six Ryukyuan languages found across Okinawa. His musical compositions are a relic of his people and culture.
