THE COLLECTORS were formed by Hitsashi Kato (Vo) and Kotaro Furuichi(G), inspired by British Beat Rock and British Psyche Rock. They made a major label debut with an album “Boku ha Collector” in November 1987.
In January 1991, they change the rhythm section members, and Makoto Ori(B) and Kosaku Abe (Dr)joined.

Renka

Now, the flower blooms, a “song” to heal the era.
What drew Renka in initially was “poetry”.
The first book her father bought her, with Misuzu Kaneko’s
“Me, the Bird, and the Bell”
Though she was little, she found salvation in the line,
“We’re all different, we’re all good.” It was the first book she chose herself.
She became absorbed in poetry and began writing poems every day, like a journal.

Since the age of 16, AZU has been performing live at clubs. Her shows were mostly held around the Kansai and Toukai areas. Her name comes from the phrases "A~Z and handed down to you."
