Takeshi Kitayama
Takeshi Kitayama is the stage name of Kouichi Ouhira who found his singer debut from Tokuma Japan. Unfortunately, he was not able to acquire recognition in the beginning and had to move back to his hometown. At the age of 21, however, he moved to Tokyo again in order to serve as apprentice under Saburo Kitajima for 8 years.
In 2004, re-debuted under Teichiku entertainment with the song “Katamichi Kippu”. He won “Best Hit Kayou Fastival Rookie of the Year Award”, “37th Nihon Yuusen Taishou Rookie of the Year Award”, “46th Nihon Record Taishou Rookie of the Year Award”, “18th Nihon Gold Disc Taishou Rookie of the Year Award!.
In 2005, participated for the first time on the “56th NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen” with the song “Otoko no Debune”. From then on, participated on the “NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen” 5 years in a row until 2009.
