CASIOPEA CASIOPEA is a fusion band, which made a major label debut in 1979 after establishing a high reputation on the excellent music skills since their indie days.
Their music is based on jazz theory, using a lot of tensions and substitution chords with complicated but smooth progression and transposition. The music is not based on improvisation or solos but it’s mostly based on the ensemble and harmonies. Even though they were an instrumental band, they topped in sales chart with every CD release.
They were also commercially successful, and kept leading the fusion music world, but paused the band in 2006. After changing the members they resumed the career in 2012 as the Third Era of CASIOPEA.
