Matenrou Opera

Forming in 2007 with vocalist sono and drummer yu. Major debuted in 2010 with mini album “Abyss”.
“Matenrou (Skyscraper)” + ”Opera” = “Fusion of futuristic and traditional beauty” being the concept, this rock band incorporates synthesizers and classical chorus to make a dynamic and unique rock sound. At their roots, metal music lives strong, which is probably why the band attracts many male rock music lovers as well.
At their shows they have the audience sing-a-long, and at their one-man show at Hibiya Ampitheater end of last year, the band made 2000 people sing graciously in the middle of Tokyo.
