Masao Sen
Debuted in 1965 with the song “Kimiga Suki”. “Hoshikage no Waltz” released in 1966 became a big hit around the fall of 1967 and became a million seller. 1968 was his first appearance on “NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen”. Then recorded hits that exceeded 100,000 copies with “Kimiga Subetesa”, “Akemi Toyuu Nade Jyuuhachide” and “Natsukashino Hito” among others. In 1979, “Kitaguni No Haru” which was released on April 5, 1977 became a big hit and he recorded his second million seller and was awarded the Long Seller Award at the 21st Annual Japan Record Awards.
Participated in a charity event in Hong Kong organized by Jackie Chan in response to the March 11, 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake with Erick Tsang, Andy Lau, Richie Ren, Agnes Chan, Masatoshi Nakamura, Ami Maeda, Ayaka Umeda, and Sakiko Matsui from AKB48. Over 290 million yen in donations were raised through this event.
