MAN WITH A MISSION US Tour Starts! New Yorkers Howled with the Wolves.
MAN WITH A MISSION, who finished the promotional tour of their new album “Tales of Purefly” in Japan, has started the cross-continent tour starting from New York.
This tour is the North American promotional tour for the second EP distributed in the States “When the Devil Rises”, and this 15-show tour is their first large-scale tour.
The first place to land was on “Webster Hall The Studio” in New York. The venue was packed with New Yorkers as well as Japanese fans living in New York.
The show started with “Distance” from the First EP in US, “Don’t Feel The Distance EP”. You could hear various languages screaming for joy, bringing the energy of the venue to climax even from the first tune.
Jean-Ken Johnny (Gt., Vo.) said, “I’m so honored to play at such a great venue. Please enjoy till the end”, making the audience throw fists in the air to respond.
On “DON’T LOSE YOURSELF”, beams of light came from Kamikaze Boy (Bass)’s eyes, turning the venue into a dance floor. When they did a cover of NIRVANA’s “Smell’s Like Teen’s Spirit”, the audience raised their voice even louder from the intro. One of their standard tunes made all the people at the venue dance regardless of the race or nationality, proving that MAN WITH A MISSION is welcomed in New York. The closing tune was the English version of “Emotions”, tune unreleased in Japan.
During the unexpected double encore, the ritual of Spear Rib (Drums)’s “Gow call” made the New Yorkers howl “Gow” with the wolves.
“Our US tour will include 15 shows starting from here. It’s like a dream-come-true. I’m glad that we got to start it here with all of you. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Hope to see you again soon!” said Jean-Ken Johnny.
The Japanese wolves expanded their territory into North America, and will cross the continent for their 15 shows tour until July 12th.
