R!N (Aldious/Gemie) Announces Restart as a Singer & Songwriter
R!N, the vocalist of the all-female metal band “Aldious” and a vocalist who participated in Hiroyuki Sawano’s vocal project SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] under the name “Gemie” singing for multiple seasons of the television anime and the anime films of “Attack on Titan”, will restart her activities as a singer and songwriter on February 1.
This announcement regarding the restart of her activities was made through R!N’s official website and Twitter. On the night of January 27, an illustration of 5 flowers was suddenly revealed and as a flower disappeared each night, fans started to speculate that it was “a countdown to something”. At 7pm on February 1, as the last flower disappeared, a teaser video for a restart titled “REVIVAL PROJECT” was revealed announcing that starting February R!N will be releasing new singles consecutively and finally an album. In addition, it has also been announced that the first single marking her restart will be a band production by R!N and the subsequent songs also saw participation from a glorious line-up of music arrangers.
R!N started her career as a singer-songwriter in 2012. Since 2015, R!N has also been active under the name “Gemie” and she later joined “Aldious” in August 2019. Her career as a vocalist continued to take flight, however, she temporarily suspended her activities as a singer-songwriter in 2019. During that time, R!N was active as a vocal trainer and a composer as she worked on producing music from various perspectives without being bound by genre or position. The “REVIVAL PROJECT” this time will be a large-scale project spun from all of R!N’s activities.
Details regarding her official restart as a singer-songwriter will be revealed first on R!N’s official fan club “R!N di fiore” which has been launched in advance. Pre-orders of the single and the sales of limited edition merchandise have also been planned. Please don’t miss the moment that will likely override the “R!N” from up till now.
