BABYMETAL has become the first Japanese artist to be featured on the front cover of METAL HAMMER magazine!

As part of their second world tour, the group performed at Makuhari Messe for a crowd of 25,000, their largest yet. Also securing Britain’s Kerrang! AWARDS 2015 and the METAL HAMMER “GOLDEN GODS” awards, BABYMETAL is becoming a huge success both in Japan and abroad.

BABYMETAL was confirmed as the first Japanese artist to be featured on the cover of the British metal magazine, METAL HAMMER, on the 18th(Japanese time). Despite yet having to be featured on the covers of music magazines in Japan, BABYMETAL was nonetheless able to secure a cover spot at the British magazine. Featuring BABYMETAL quickly after their debut, METAL HAMMER awarded the group their Heavy Metal World Cup, based on reader votes, when they impressively smashed Western artists.

A few days ago, BABYMETAL was awarded the GOLDEN GODS AWARD 2015 by METAL HAMMER. BABYMETAL gave a special collaborative performance with Dragon Force, and for the high expectations for the group’s future, were named a “Breakthrough Artist.”

We will be continuing to publish interviews and reports relating to this award and their surprise appearance at Download Festival 2015.

BABYMETAL is confirmed to play solo shows in Frankfurt and Berlin, as well as make an appearance at the Reading Festival 2015 music festival in Britain. To finish out their current world tour they will be playing shows in Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and finally at Yokohama Arena on December 12th and 13th.
