ASAS

The members of the group were chosen through an audition in the popular fashion magazine “men’s egg”. In 2011, the magazine, within a section that was devoted to articles focusing on the Kasai area, created a group of girl models. From that group, the top four charismatic girls were chosen as members of the group.
The name ASAS comes from combining the English phrase “as soon as” and the members’ initials to mean, “as soon as we sing, people will be hooked”. Coming from Kansai area, they incorporate native Kansai dialect in their songs, which makes for a new, refreshing type of idol song.
