B’z / First Time to Collaborate for CD Release
B’z, one of Japan’s most popular rock bands, are announced to have participated in a collaboration for a new single “HEAT” to be released on 7/4/2012 by a solo artist from Korea, Kim Hyun Joong. With the title song composed by Tak Matsumoto and lyrics written by Inaba Koshi, this is the first time ever for B’z since their debut in 1998 to create a song as a unit for an artist. They didn’t only participate in making the song, but also in the recording with Koshi Inaba on chorus and Tak Matsumoto on guitar.
Kim Hyung Joong revealed how he has been a big fan of B’z for a long time at the press conference for his solo debut in November last year. As his offer for collaboration to B’z was consented by the members, he commented how honored he felt to be able to collaborate with a band he had always liked and respected. He also mentioned that he truly enjoyed the recording as both members would give him advices and help him make the best quality music for this new single.
Kim Hyung Joong’s 2nd single “HEAT” will be released in 5 different versions. If you purchase all 5 versions, you may win a chance to attend a special event on 7/15/2012(Sun).
