ROCK'A'TRENCH
ROCK’A’TRENCH was formed in November 2006. The band was named after the concept of “Music takes the pain away” from the masterpiece by Bob Marley’s “Trench Town Rock”.
In March 2007, they released their indie CD “ROCK’A’TRENCH” and drew attention at CD stores funded internationally. Warner Music Japan invested in their potential and they made their major label debut with a single “Higher” in July.
In August 2008, “Every Sunday Afternoon” became an FM radio hit, drawing attention to the band. In 2009, “My SunShine” , a theme song for “Mei Chan no Shitsuji” achieved over a million downloads including ringtone and digital distribution.
In the summer of r2009, they released their long-awaited first album “ACTION”, performing most of the major summer festival at as many as 16 venues with their promotional solo show tour being a big success.
In 2010, they created a buzz by several tie-ins such as “14th TOYOTA BIG AIR “ the biggest international snowboard competition, and SEA BREEZE commercial song by SHISEIDO.
They are an alternative rock band to watch out with their unique entertainment and live-performance.
