ANIME FESTIVAL ASIA INDONESIA 2014 to be held in August!
Anisong J-Pop Singers and Groups are getting together in Jakarta!!
Jakarta, 7 June 2014 – Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2014, Asia’s biggest anime and Japanese Pop Culture Event, is back – following a resounding success in 2013, garnering over 53,000 attendees. The continuing rise in popularity of Japanese Popular Culture locally, AFA is back to Indonesia for the 3rd time in 2014, bringing a slice of Japanese Pop culture direct from Tokyo to Jakarta.
Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2014 (AFAID 2014) will continue to establish itself as Indonesia’s top Anime and Japanese Popular Culture event in the nation, is scheduled on 15, 16 and 17 of August 2014 in Plenary Hall, Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center.
Anime and Japanese Popular Culture fans will enjoy an electrifying line-up of anisong (anime songs) stars direct from Japan. They can come face-to-face with Japan’s top talent and latest offerings, complete with premium original merchandise, movie screenings, cosplay-related activities, and maid and butler café. The experience will be akin to being in Japan’s famous Akihabara district.
AFAID 2014 will focus on popular content and the latest trends based on the interest and preferences of the Indonesian audience. It is a satellite event of Anime Festival Asia, Southeast Asia’s biggest and most anticipated showcase of the latest Japanese popular culture, anime content and stars, happening in December 2014, in Singapore.
AFAID 2014 Highlights
AFAID 2014 will feature 7 powerful stellar cast of Anisong (Anime Song) J-Pop Singers and groups direct from Japan. Headlining the AFAID 2014 I Love Anisong Concerts will be, EGOIST, Eir Aoi, GARNiDELiA, Hachioji P, DJ Kazu, Luna Haruna and T.M.Revolution. Together, they will perform chart topping hits from some of the biggest anime titles in Indonesia and Japan.
Apart from the concerts, AFAID 2014 will have something for everyone, depending on their interests. Avid shoppers can look forward to one of the largest collection of original anime merchandise from Akiba Town by some of Japan’s top brands. More details on participating brands will be announced at a later date.
Top cosplay celebrities from Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia will also grace the stage at AFAID 2014. A special cosplay championship will be held during the festival with the winner representing Indonesia to compete with the region’s best cosplayers from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines, at the Regional Cosplay Championship. The Regional Cosplay Championship will be held in Singapore during the Anime Festival Asia 2014 in December.
The main stage area, held at Jakarta Convention Center’s Planery Hall is able to host over 4000 attendees at one time, will showcase rare guests from the Anime Industry, including celebrity voice actors, cosplay celebrities, and anime producers. Many exclusive anime movies and special screenings are scheduled for AFAID 2014. More details on featured animes and movies will be announced at a later date.
Visitors to the festival can also experience the iconic Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe and Atelier Royale Butler Cafe, exclusively available only at AFAID 2014, for a memorable dining experience.
AFAID 2014 will be held at the Plenary hall, Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center, on the 15, 16 and 17 of August 2014. Several tiers of ticketing will be available to cater to each visitor’s interest. General exhibition tickets are priced at Rp 75.000 per day, customers who wish to additionally access exclusive stage contents from Anime celebrities will need to purchase the Exhibition + Stage ticket for Rp 180.000 per day.
For access to the I Love Anisong concerts, customers can get the Rp 450.000 / day (Free Standing) and Rp 850.000 / day (VIP Seating) tickets. To make it more accessible to fans, a 2-day Rp 1.600.000 VIP Package and Rp 800.000 2-day Standing Package will also be available. Each concert ticket is bundled with a festival and stage ticket. There will also be a special early Rp 2.000.000 VIP ticket package that comes bundled with a ticket to a LiSA meet and greet session.
