Buffalo Daughter’s Cool and Cute New Music Video

Buffalo Daughter has announced that they will release their new album “Konjac-tion” in July, and they have also released the music video for “Oui Oui,” one of the songs recorded on the album.

The music video was directed by Tsuneo Goda (dwarf), who is known for having created the NHK character Domo-kun, and it is unique for having been created by a single person.

Usually, animated videos are created by a group of people, but Goda, who is a fan of Buffalo Daughter, decided to create the video by himself in order to do so with the same DIY spirit as Buffalo Daughter is using to take on the world. The staff that usually works with Goda worried about whether or not he could really complete the video by himself, but he created a cool and cute final product that couples with Buffalo Daughter’s unique worldview.

Buffalo Daughter, who is increasing their overseas activities in 2014, went on a Midwest and East Coast tour of America in March. They will also appear in England at the music festival “The Great Escape” in May followed by live performances in London and Paris. We are waiting expectantly for a follow-up report about the details of their new, enigmatically titled album.
