Shouhei Ito


Shouhei Ito Shouhei Ito is a Japanese singer/songwriter born on 7/31/1989 in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Influenced by an acquaintance, he began playing the guitar at the age of 10. In love with Eric Clapton’s music, he explored the roots of Clapton’s music and became so fascinated by R&B, soul, jazz and blues that he began to master guitar techniques on his own. Later, he began to write lyrics and compose music and by the age of 14, he started performing at live houses in his hometown of Kurume. From 2009, he began performing in other parts of Fukuoka and even in North Kyushu areas. By the following spring, he relocated to Tokyo to pursue his career as a musician. In 12/2011, he made his major debut with a single “Dream of Life,” the opening theme song of an anime “Bakuman.”
