SEEDA
Born in 1980 in Tokyo.
Until 7th grade, grew up in New Zealand and London.
Has a unique style of mixing Japanese and English.
Began his career as an MC at the age of 16 and since releasing his 1st album in 1999, has released a total of 7 full-length albums.
Although he has mainly been active in the underground scene, in 2006, released the album “Hana to Ame”, produced by Bach Logic, the producer of artists such as EXILE and Namie Amuro. This drew much attention within the HIPHOP scene. In October 2007, released the album “Machikaze” which was chosen as the BEST JAPANESE HIPHOP ALBUM by “The SOURCE Japan”, the HIPHOP magazine.
In 2008, released the album “HEAVEN”, and in 2009, the album “SEEDA”. In May 2009, announced his resignation as MC, but made a comeback in October. In December 2009, released his comeback single “WISDOM” which marked 5th place on the Oricon Daily Chart. The track also marked 8th on the weekly chart. At the end of 2009, the free paper “bounce” chose the album “SEEDA” as the best album of the year in its “OPUS OF THE YEAR 2009”.
In August 2010, released his first album since his comeback, “BREATHE”. It ranked 2nd in i-Tunes general chart and Oricon Indies Chart, 13th in the Oricon Daily Chart, and 22nd on its Weekly Chart. The Japanese edition of “Rolling Stone” gave it a full 5 star rating. After that, released the Haiti Earthquake charity download single, “One Love feat. Zeebra” in which he donated all of the profits.
