Atsuko Asada

For her job at Yoshimoto Kogyo, she worked as an MC and a show assistant. She was scouted when she was singing at Nanba Kagetsu and debuted as a singer in October 1994 with “Omoi Hana”. In October 1995, she won the Grand Prix at “The Second Enka Renaissance ‘95 Newcomer’s Awards” held in Shoudoshima, Kagawa Prefecture. Asada was given a kimono as a present by the industry’s senior singer “Sayuri Ishikawa” who was a special guest at the competition. Asada wants to “keep singing songs that will be loved” and continues to sing in Osaka.
In 2011, she won Grand Prix at the Annual Japan Composers Association Original Song Contest.
