Taro Hakase’s surprise appearance at Ariana Grande concert

Taro Hakase was a secret guest at Ariana Grande’s Tokyo International Forum Hall A solo concert on August 19.

Taro Hakase became a fan of Ariana Grande after constantly hearing it from his daughter who is a huge fan of the famous diva. He met her for the first time at Ariana Grande’s first Japan showcase in January 2014.

Grande was thrilled to learn that Hakase was the violinist on Celine Dion’s “To Love You More”. The staffs of the world-renowned diva and the violinist worked to put together a collaboration between the two. “Baby I feat. Taro Hakase” was then born.

The two of course performed their collaborative song “Baby I”. The energy of the packed venue peaked when the crowd witnessed this performance by two top level international artists. As if to respond to the energy, Ariana’s performance rose to the next level. Hakase’s playing introduced Arianators to a new musical world.
