flumpool’s Taiwan “one-man” was a great success. Local fans impressed with Yamaguchi’s Chinese languages skills
flumpool played a special concert called FANRENPU 2015 Taipei YANCHANHUI flumpool Taiwan Special Live @ TICC at Taipei, Taiwan’s International Convention Center.
This was the band’s third time playing Taiwan, and 3000 fans gathered. flumpool opened with. The crowd cheered when they opened with a Chinese acoustic version of “HOSHI NI NEGAI WO”. The audience instantly became one. They also played their hits “HANA NI NARE” and “KIMI NI TODOKE”, as well as “TOARU HAJIMARI NO JOKEI ~Bookstore on the hill~” and a Chinese version of “TSUYOKU HAKANAKU”, “NAZO”. They also covered Taiwanese artist Ling Chung’s big hit “Xiàng qián zǒu”.
Ryuta Yamamoto (vocals, guitar) spoke in Chinese for the whole show and excited the fans. Ever since the band performed in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 2011, Yamamoto studied Chinese in order to “convey his feelings to the local fans in his own words.”
