BABYMETAL to perform at a British rock festival for the first time with the likes of Metallica and Iron Maiden
BABYMETAL will perform at British rock festival,
Metallica, Iron Maiden, and The Prodigy will headline the 2014
“BABYMETAL”, the album, ranked in at No.187 on the March 22 US Billboard “Album 200” chart. BABYMETAL is the youngest out of the very few Japanese artists that have ever made it onto this chart. The group also jumped from No.20 to No.4 on the “Heatseekers Albums” chart, which ranks new artists. They ranked in a total of five different charts including “World Albums” at No.2, “Hard Rock Albums” at No.12, and “Independent Albums” at No.34. They also ranked in at No.1 on iTunes America, UK, and Germany metal album charts, and in the top 10 for America, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Sweden and Japan rock charts.
BABYMETAL played two “one-man” (no opening act) shows at Nippon Budokan in March and finished the first leg of their Japan activity. Next up is the second leg of their activity in England, where some people call the birthplace of rock. They have also scheduled a European “one-man” tour that has everybody waiting in anticipation.
