New Year Event with Japanese Artists in Korea!
“New Year Event with Japanese Artists 2014”, held in Korea, will feature Mayu Wakisaka, a singer-songwriter who established a world-wide fan base through her songs preloaded on Sony Walkman, and YANAKIKU, a vocal duo with a unique retro feel and catchy songs with choreography. Mayu Wakisaka
Mayu Wakisaka,is an International Acoustic Music Award winning singer-songwriter . Sony’s mp3 player “Walkman” has been featuring Mayu’s original songs “24 hours” and “Fall” as a preload song, which brought her an expanding fan-base from all over the world. Her style is a warm mix of folk, pops and jazz. She is also a finalist in “UK songwriting contest” “Australian Songwriting Contest” and “Great American Song Contest”. In 2014 she announced a release of a new project in Japan and some international performances.
YANAKIKU
YANAKIKU is a J-Pop vocal and KIMOCOS (“Kimono Cosplay”) performance duo.
They have performed for international audiences at Hyper Japan in London in summer 2013, and at Tokyo International Music Market in October. The duo released the music video for their second single “UP↑SIDE↓DOWN” earlier this year.
The song has been picked as the theme song for an upcoming movie “Aru Aombie Shojo no Sainan”.
YANAKIKU will have a solo show at Harajuku Astro Hall on December 21th (Sat) 2013 and will perform at international events in 2014.
