BEGIN’s Second Brazilian Tour Begins
BEGIN performed the first concert of their long-awaited Brazilian tour at the Anhembi Convention Center on Friday, November 8.
On this tour, BEGIN came to São Paulo, Brazil ahead of time on November 4, and spent the day attending concert press conferences with the local press, performing live on Brazil’s largest television station’s program, “Altas Horas,” and rehearsing with local Brazilian musicians.
The venue was packed with Brazilian fans of all ages, and with a set list designed to be enjoyable by fans from any generation, including songs and nursery rhymes like “Aka Tonbo,” “Furusato,” and “Hamachidori,” Begin managed to share a sense of nostalgia and the beauty of Japanese music throughout their performance.
In addition to the aforementioned performance in São Paulo on November 8, they also performed the following day, Saturday, November 9, in the same São Paulo venue, and once again on Sunday, November 10, in Londrina’s Recinto José Garcia Molina, for a total of three performances in front of a total of 4,000 fans. BEGIN also sold a Brazil-only best compilation album at the venues on this tour titled “BEGIN BRASIL BEST.” Over 1,200 copies of this CD, containing only songs selected with Brazil in mind, sold during the three-day period, making it a record-setting big hit.
