Kyary Pamyu Pamyu Announces New Release, World Tour

On Sept. 7, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu began her “Nanda Collection Tour ~Kyary Pamyu Pamyu no Uchuu Theater~” nationwide tour, which will hit 23 venues in 21 cities nationwide to a total of approximately 50,000 spectators. On the first night, she had a huge announcement.

As the title implies, the “Nanda Collection” stage is a glimmering, carefree set invoking the “universe”.

When Kyary herself appeared in a blue outfit making herself the Earth in this set, the audience appeared to boil over with excitement. However, in Kyary’s usual style, she revealed that the outfit was actually made out of colorful garbage bags. With this astonishing announcement, she started her show with a sense of wonder.

But, the aforementioned “huge announcement” would come at the end of the show.

“I have a big announcement, and all of you who are here today will hear it before anyone else!!”

The big announcement was that there would be a seven single release blitz, after five months without any new material from the artist. Additionally, she announced that she would be going on a world tour again in 2014, beginning in Seattle. The crowd offered their blessing for her first North American tour with warm congratulatory cheers. Following her dates in North America, the world tour is planned to also hit venues in London, France, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore and more before returning to Japan. The detailed schedule for the world tour will be released at a later date. Since the artist herself will also be simultaneously uploading an enthusiastic comment video in regard to her world tour, that too is not to be missed.

The first show of this tour, however, ended in a wave of congratulations following this huge announcement. The unforgettable Kyary Pamyu Pamyu will be one to watch this year as she advances on her tour, which will have its final performance on Nov. 23 at Omiya Sonic City.
