Saori Yuki and Wolverine!? “Ikigai” featured in soundtrack of latest film

Yuki Saori’s 1970 release “Ikigai” is featured in the soundtrack of the Hollywood film Wolverine, which is now in theaters.

The setting of “Wolverine,” the latest in a popular film series, is Japan. In addition to Saori Yuki’s “Ikigai,” the film’s soundtrack includes the 2005 song release “Onna, Kanashii, Onna” by Hello! Project shuffle unit Sexy Otonajan and “Sono Toki ga Kuru Made… Feat. K DUB SHINE” by hip hop producer DJ PMX. The film contains a mixture of traditional culture and modern Japan, and theAse songs emphasize that theme even more.

“Wolverine” is an action movie starring Hugh Jackman. The cast includes a number of Japanese names such as Hiroyuki Sanada, top model Tao Okamoto, and Rila Fukushima. Also appearing in the film are martial artists Naoya Ogawa and Nobuaki Kakuda.
