Chuji Mikado is an “enka” singer from Izumi City, Osaka. His real name is “Tadatsugu Jouya”. Currently belongs to Teichiku Entertainment.
In 1979, quit his job as a salary man when he passed the audition for CBS Sony. In 1980, debuted with the song “Nagarete Osaka”. In 1984, the song “Kata Koi Zake” became a hit, and Mikado gained famed by winning the “17th Zen Nippon Yusen Houso Taishou”, rookie of the year award.
In January 2011, held his 30th anniversary concert at Shin Kabukiza in Osaka.
