New Visuals For Perfume’s New Single Released
Perfume has recently revealed that they will be releasing their new single, “Magic of Love”, and a DVD on May 22nd. The DVD features footage of their 1st world tour in 2012 in which they performed in 4 different Asian countries. On top of that, new visual for their new single has been released.
The album artworks that were revealed this time come in 2 versions: the first press version and the standard version. The members are wearing different costumes in the 2 versions. The first press version features the members in one-piece dresses and retro-taste hairstyles. The standard version is juxtaposed to the first press version in that the members look cool and a bit surreal.
With the release of the new single and DVD, Perfume is gaining momentum. They are already set to hold their first European tour in Germany, France, and England. The tickets for the England show sold out within 2 hours of its release; hence, instead of holding the show at Islington, they upgraded the venue to O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, a long-established venue with twice the capacity. It is apparent that their popularity is not limited to Japan, but there are fans outside the country who are waiting wholeheartedly to see them live.
The song “Magic of Love”, which is already well known in Japan for being the commercial song for Kanro “Pure Gummy”, has earned another tie-up as the May theme song for NTV’s “Sukkiri!!”.
After the release of the new single, Perfume will be holding their first “battle of bands”, live music club tour, “Zutto Suki Datta Jakee ~Sasurai no Men Kata Perfume FES!!”, in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
