Aya Shimazu

At 14, she left her home town of Kumamoto to apprentice with lyricist Testsuro Hoshino.
1986 Debuted with ”Hamama Wo Haita Wataridori”
1987 Formed “Hatsuratsu Sannin Musume” with Fuyumi Sakamoto and Kumiko Ishikawa.
1991 “Aizen Katsura Wo Mouichido” became a hit with more than 300, 000 spies sold.
1994 Hosted the radio program “Utau headlight” (until 1998)
2001 First appearance at the 52nd NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen with her song “Kanshajou Hahaenno Messeji”.
In fall she went on tour all around Japan. The DVD of her annual concert at NHK Hall is well received. In 1990’s, she partnered with NTT DoCoMo and sung “DoCoMo Ondo” (only distributed among industry people).
