KAO=S will release their new online digital album “Dawn of the Planet Chaos” on the 30th of October.

Japanese Art Rock Band “KAO=S” will release the online digital version of their new album “Dawn of the Planet Chaos” on the 30th of October on iTunes in 111 countries, and the high fidelity version on Japanese website OTOTOY on the 31th of October. Mikio Ariga, famous rock photographer, took KAO=S’s photos for the new album. He is official The Rolling Stones photographer for Japan and has taken photos for many famous rock musicians.

The new songs “Saku”, “Maboroshi” and “Kuroda-bushi” that KAO=S showcased in Brazil appear on the new album. The re-mix version of “Roaring Tokyo” also appears, a song which was originally released through a German label in July, 2014. KAO=S will sell the physical album at live-show venues in November, and release it in January 2016 to music shops and online retailers. KAO=S will hold a live-show on the 20th of November at Star Pine’s Cafe in Kichijoji, Tokyo. They will play songs from the new album at the show.

KAO=S will also appear at SXSW 2016 in Austin, Texas, USA. This is their third appearance at SXSW, including their 2012 and 2013 appearances.

In “Dawn of the Planet Chaos,” the four stringed, fretted musical instrument “Yomisen” which shamisen player Jack invented is used in many pieces. Many guest musicians played with KAO=S in this album, including Daisuke Kaminaga who is the shakuhachi player of the Wagakki band. In addition, songs “Taimatsu” and “Maboroshi” will be featured in Australian independent film MondoYakuza. This movie will be released in 2016.
