On March 14th (Texas Local Time), YOSHIKI of X JAPAN attended the SXSW (South By South West), one of world`s largest music convention, for the first time.

SXSW is the world’s largest event consisting Music, Film, and Interactive, and is held every year in March at Austin of Texas, USA, and this will be their 28th year.

YOSHIKI announced his first Solo World Tour on February 19th at the Grammy Museum of Los Angeles. He had been offerd from the SXSW sponsor many times, and this year was finally able to adjust his busy schedule. The many heated requests from Texas fans also helped, and his first attendance at a music event overseas as a solo became a reality.

In the event, a total of 8 songs, including “Forever Love”, “Art of Life”, and “Endless Rain” was sung. At first he was planning a surprise performance of creating and playing an improvised song as a call of cheer for the disaster struck area of the Tohoku earthquake. However there was an accident in Austin the day before, and he played for all who suffered from both disasters. Fans who came to the site gave a silent prayer together. YOSHIKI has strong feeling for the Tohoku disaster struck district, visiting Sendai in his private, and his desire of wanting to help all in the world who are suffering from disasters.

YOSHIKI CLASSICAL WORLD TOUR announced the other day has started the ticket sales for in different countries worldwide, and recent information says that Bangkok in Thailand has been added to the list.
