Eri Takanaka is a singer-songwriter and also a photograper.
She made her indie debut in 2002, ranking 1st in TOWER RECORDS indie chart with two singles in a row, followed by her major label debut in 2004.
In 2006, “Sayonara Sayonara”, produced by Kentaro Kobuchi from Kobukuro, was released 2006, charting for as long as six months in USEN general chart. In 2009, she was one of the features in “Yesterday Once More”, Carpenters 40th anniversary tribute album.
In 2011, she released her first cover album “Kioku no Mori no Ghibli”, performing at Ghibli museum “Mitaka no Mori Festival”. In November she had her first Shanghai concert in China.
In 2012, she released “Sang” expressing herself in the context of “Journy, Music and Photography”, recorded and shot in Norway. This made her photographer debut. She has been releasing an album recorded and shot overseas ever since.
