Upon their domestic major debut on 11/02/2011, Hemenway is simultaneously releasing the debut single “Listen” in 15 countries around the world! The original track of ‘Listen’ being entirely in English then reborn into Japanese for domestic debut, it is all the more meaningful and exciting to see this bilingual release to have been made possible for Hemenway, a perfect way to introduce this multilingual band by Isaac (Vo.) & Charm (Gt.), Korean Americans who speak Japanese, Korean & English, and Ogaching (Ba.) & Toshi (Dr.), Japanese who speak Japanese & English, to the world.
Sharing the same dream and passion to stage their own genuine J-ROCK inspired by Japanese music/cultures that they dearly love, the four classmates from Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA embarked on a new journey as “Hemenway” when their paths crossed again a year ago in Tokyo. Now, Hemenway is calling out for you J-ROCK lovers around the world to join them as they unfold a new chapter of J-ROCK beyond national borders, musical limits and cultural boundaries.
