Draft King bring 2000 people to their feet at an American anime festival

Draft King performed at Otakon 2015, one of the U.S.’s largest anime festivals. They brought a crowd of 2000 to their feet and sold out all of their CDs and merchandise.

Draft King released their third single, “This is me”, on July 22 and departed for the U.S. the following day. This was the band’s first overseas concert.

The band played original songs as well as anime covers. They started their preemptive attack with L’Arc~en~Ciel’s “READY STEADY GO”. As you may know, this song was the theme to “Fullmetal Alchemist”, and it instantly energized the crowd. They also played SIAM SHADE’s “1/3 NO JUNJONA KANJO”, their new song “This is me”, and their concert staple “Abracadabra”. They captivated the crowd and many audience members twirled their towels around. Draft King’s 70-minute set brought the crowd of 2000 to their feet.
