9nine’s New Song Chosen As Ending Theme Song For TV Anime “Magi”

The quintet performance girls’ group 9nine has announced that they would be releasing their new song “With You / With me” on March 12, 2014. Furthermore, it was revealed that the song would be inserted as the ending theme song for the 2nd season of the popular TV anime “Magi”. The song would be aired beginning January 12th, 2014.

9nine is a quintet group featuring a variety of talents including Umika Kawashima who has seen success as an actress in TV dramas, movies and plays. The rest of the group is comprised of a voice actress, a vocal contest winner, a host MC for a music program and more.

The group’s November release tune, “Re:”, is the opening theme song for the drama “LEGAL HIGH” and has attracted much attention with it’s catchy melodies that matches perfectly with the drama. The song earned them 31,000 points on the Oricon Weekly Single Chart to place them at sixth place, the highest ranking thus far for the group, and the total play count for the music video for the song has exceeded 1 million.

Furthermore, the group is already scheduled to hold one-man live shows at Nakano Sunplaza and Nippon Budokan in 2014. Tickets for the Nakano Sunplaza concert sold out immediately, leading them to hold an additional show.
