MIYAVI will make his acting debut in the new film directed by Angelina Jolie

MIYAVI will appear in the Hollywood film, “Unbroken,” directed by Angelina Jolie.

“Unbroken” is based on the best-selling 2010 novel by Laura Hillenbrand, the author of “Seabiscuit,” which has sold 3.5 million copies. It tells the amazing true story of Louis Zamperini, who, after running in the Berlin Olympics, enlisted in the American army during WWII and became a prisoner of war of the Japanese. The Coen Brothers (Joel and Ethan Coen) worked on the the screenplay and 10 time Academy Award nominee, Roger Deakins, is the director of photography.

Filming for “Unbroken” began in early October and its scheduled release date is December 25, 2014. Due to the filming, MIYAVI had to postpone his world tour, which had been scheduled for this year, until February 2013. The tour will kick-off in Asia before proceeding to Europe and other regions.
