EMI TAWADA

Emi Tawada is from Ginowan City, Okinawa. In 2005, while studying in Canada after high school, she joined a street jazz band, which inspired her into music.
After coming back to Japan, she started actively performing. A single titled “Negai no Sora” limited to Okinawa region ranked No.1 in indie chart. In 2007, she moved to Tokyo and made her national debut in April 2008. She has released three singles and an EP. In November 2009, she released her first full album “SINGS”. In June 2010, she performed at various events, sang commercial songs, and gust-starred in other artists’ works. In spring 2012, she starred in the acclaimed theater play “Romeo and Juliet” as a singer. She is an artist to watch out.
