Maiko Katagiri, the vocalist, is from Gunma Prefecture and is the master of “Katagiri Kai, Katagiri Ryu Minyou”. Both her parents are masters, making her a thoroughbred of singing and Japanese dancing. In November 2005, released the EP “Drawing” which featured the song “Sha la la…” which was used as a TV commercial song for the fashion magazine “MORE” by Shueisha. The 12-inch limited edition remix that was released in June 2006 won first place in several major record shops such as CISCO and DMR. Their sound mixes genuine R&B with high quality POPS. Junichi Kawai, the track maker, describes their music as “not just an imitation of authentic music, but, in the end, it is ‘music for the Japanese’”.
