Keiichiro Shibuya + Hatsune Miku Vocaloid opera in Amsterdam

2015/05/28

“THE END” is the world’s first Vocaloid opera project that has no human singers or orchestra and is completely generated by computer and is integrated into multi-dimensional video. Only Hatsune Miku, an animal character, and musician Keiichiro Shibuya are the only ones to appear on stage. They will incorporate video directed by YKBX to convey the theme of the end of the world and the reality of “life and death” after March 11 (East-Japan earthquake).

“THE END” received high praise for their show at Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on March 2013. In June 2015, they are scheduled to appear at Holland Festival, which represents Dutch theatrical arts. The festival will be held on June 4 and 5, and they will perform as the main act on both days for the “Dutch National Opera & Ballet”.

Both days at the nearly 2000 capacity venue have sold out, and the anticipation for “THE END” is growing rapidly.
