Perfume’s First Festival Overseas to be an International Electronic Music Event



The “ULTRA KOREA (ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL) 2013” will be held in South Korea’s Seoul Olympic Stadium on June 14 and 15, and artists from Japan that have been confirmed to perform at the event are Perfume, Shinichi Ozawa, and ☆Taku Takahashi (from m-flo).

The “ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL” is an outdoor electronic music festival that started in the American city of Miami in 1999. Its name is well-known throughout the world, having won the “Best Music Event” title at the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) for six consecutive years, amongst other achievements. For the 15th anniversary of the festival held in Miami this March, the entire city became a venue for the event’s two-week duration, with a record high of over 300,000 people attending. Last year, the festival was also held in Miami, as well as Brazil, Argentina, Chile, the island of Ibiza in Spain, and South Korea, with Croatia being scheduled in addition for this year.

World-famous artists such as AFROJACK, Armin van Buuren, AVICII, Carl Cox, KASKADE, Tommy Trash, and Boy George will be performing at the “ULTRA KOREA (ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL) 2013.” Moreover, Perfume and Shinichi Ozawa will appear on the 14th, while ☆Taku Takahashi’s performance will be on the 15th.
