Charan Po Rantan
The band consists of Momo-chan, with her kobushi (slow vibrato) singing, and Kohara, with her melancholy take on the accordion. They have been performing since July 2009. Even though their instrumentation is far from standard J-POP, their CDs have been chart toppers and they have great popularity among fellow musicians.
PINK FLOYD’s Dave Gilmore wanted to play with them, and Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter praised their performance and Rena Matsui Rena.
Their music is called alternative chanson overseas, drawing attention from all over the world and from all the generations to the “circus musica” with the twisted but cute music.
