AKB48 / World Debut with Soundtrack of Disney Movie

AKB48’s song ‘Sugar Rush’ has been chosen as a soundtrack and the ending theme song for a Disney movie, “Sugar Rush” to be open in theaters in March of 2013. There have been cases in the past that a song by a Japanese artist or artist unit has been chosen for a soundtrack. However, this is the very first time for the soundtrack which has been written for the movie to be released in a worldwide version as the ending theme song.

AKB48, already a famous idol unit in Japan, is now on their way to impress the world with ‘Sugar Rush,’ the ending theme song for the Disney movie, “Sugar Rush.”
