Kuroki Shimai are…
A sister duo from Miyazaki prefecture. Is known as the “Sister Duo of Heisei Period”. Both of them have learnt minyou (Japanese folk music) from childhood, and the elder sister, Mika Kuroki, has become #1 nationwide in the past. The younger sister, Chiharu Kuroki, has earned the Miss Miyazaki award.
The duo features the award winning elder sister, Mika, as the main singer and adds the mild essence of the younger sister Chiharu to create a unique new realm of Kuroki Shimai.
Has been accumulating critical acclaim from critics and extending their nationwide fan base as one of the few sister duos of the “enka”/minyou world.
